This is a wall hanging piece: a portrait of a Chinese Immortal, Li Tieguai,
who had been an apprentice of Loo -Tzu, the founder of Taoism. He had a
reputation of being irritable and bad-tempered but was compassionate toward
the poor, sick, and those in need. He carried a gourd filled with special medicine
for the needy. He also used an iron crutch to aid in his walking. The figure is
composed of a variety of colorful and carefully and masterfully placed together
marble-like pieces. The beauty and richness of this unique portrait is astonishing.
