Vintage Set of 2 Chinese Landscape Paintings on Silk;
Up for sale is a set of 2 Chinese landscape watercolor paintings on silk, dated likely around mid 20
th
century.
The landscapes were beautifully painted, containing mountains, rocks, streams, pine trees, architectures and a bridge. They were in pale green background, which may change under different light source. Each painting was given a title as “
泉聲松韵
” and “
山明水秀
”, meaning “Spring sound, pine tree rhyme” and ‘Beautiful scenery”, respectively. All paintings were original and signed in calligraphy with a seal stamp. Each painting was framed by a paperboard.
Measures: Paperboard Frame, 16” x 13 ½”; Painting, 11 ¾” x 9 ½”. Condition: Very good, no issues to report.
