MXR Phase 100 - 1977 CTS Pots - VERY GOOD CONDITION - 2nd Owner.
I got this from a buddy of mine who played keys back in the 70's. He was big into Genesis, etc.
It's circa 1977 vintage. Has a few scratches and chips as shown in pics, but still sounds fantastic. Torn on whether I should part with it or not but it's been in my pedal bag for years now so think it needs a good home where it will be used.
This still does have the "foam" on the inside. It is fuzzing off onto the rest of the pedal internals as shown in the pics.
Based on the CTS pot identification it was manufactured sometime after the 30th week of 1977: 137730 = CTS pot, 30
th
week of 1977.
From what I could find on the TI Op Amps TL022CP that are on the circuit board - they appear to have a date code of 714 - which should mean 14th week of 1977.
From what I read you can't trace the old MXR serial #'s but the tag inside the enclosure is: 714182
My best guess of more 1977 for this pedal too is based on the fact that the 1978's I see listed have what appears to be a anti-slip black padding on the back. This does not - metal orange case only all around.

137 = CTS
They usually start with 137 which is the manufacturer (137 = CTS), then the next digits are the year and week.
For example, 137 7903 would be a CTS pot, made in the 3rd week of 1979.
