    The top diameter is approx. 4 7/8". This is heavier restaurant ware, weighing 9.6 oz. I am fairly certain it is not a saucer for a cup, there is no inner ring and I think there is too much depth. The back is stamped for Mellen & Hewes of Hartford, Conn. An estate fresh piece, I love the graphics! Thanks for viewing this auction.
