    Description

    Lot of two pretty closely matched classic original Howard Johnson restaurant cereal bowls in off-white or ivory with maroon HJ pieman silhouette logo decoration.  Logo is on one side of each bowl with a maroon pinstripe around.
    Maker Shenango China's date code V16 on the bottom of each indicates manufacture between January and June, 1958.
    They are 5 1/2-inches
    in diameter and 2-inches
    tall each.
    These are heavy custom-ordered cafe-style restaurant-grade
    china bowls.
    VERY GOOD CONDITION with no cracks, hairlines, marks or chips.  Normal visible, but not overwhelming, utensil marks in the well of each bowl, appropriate for age.  Nice clear pieman logos.  Use photos to expand description.
