MXR Phase 100 - Vintage Modified- True Bypass & 9V Adapter Plug.
Enjoy the original vintage sounds of the MXR Phase 100 without any of the tone sucking that is associated with many vintage pedals while in bypass mode. The upgrade to the true-bypass switch ensures the signal is not compromised in anyway, like most modern pedals today. From my research I believe this was made in 1979 based on the numbers on the pot (see photo) This vintage Pedal is also brought up to today’s pedalboard standards by the addition of the plug-in 9V adapter jack, thereby eliminating the need to hassle with a 9V battery. This pedal now excepts standard pedalboard 9V adapter power ONLY.
I have been modifying pedals, building my pedals from scratch, modifying and repairing guitar amps & modifying/repairing guitars for over a decade now.
I’ve been using this pedal for a couple years now after the modification and it works great.
This pedal sounds amazing. It is 100% Functional and there are no scratchy noises from the pots or any glitches.
