Artist Profile
Born in 1940, Li Xubai moved to Hong Kong from China
Fuzhou, Fujian Province
in 1979.  In Hong Kong he has been the editor of art magazines such as "The World of Collectors" and "Dragon Roots Art Magazine". Li moved to Canada in 1996, where he now lives.
Li Xubai is well versed in classical-style Chinese poetry.
Li considers himself a poet first and a painter second who introduces the emotional content of his poetry into his landscape paintings.
Since 1995 LI Xubai has held numerous solo exhibitions at museums and arts galleries in Boston and New York City, Ottawa, Canada.
His paintings have been collected by Hong Kong Museum of Art
