Description
Killer pedal board for any guitarist - it's a home made "holey board" comprised of heat resistant black metal (the best metal) retrofitted into a computer bag. This repurposed computer bag (a dorky a$$ bag - the D.A.B.) is fantastic since they come pre-made with loads of zippered pockets of varying size. These are PERFECT for all the musician's extra goodies; cables, pics, ear plugs, power chords, energy bars, maybe little notes from loved ones reminding them of when to come home. Picture this; it's Christmas and you give your kid an unassuming computer bag, perhaps even in a computer box. They then open it up to find a somewhat battered and fairly big (by today's standards; it's 18x13 or so) bag....Frowns! Kid suspects something is up because nobody wants this (and, hey, it's your kid) and slowly unzips said D.A.B. to find a complete and stunning pedal board of doom. Or raprock or whatever kids these days..blah, rar, ffftt!. This D.A.B. has been carefully wired and is powered with an eight drop 9v power supply from One Spot, the pedals are attached with zip tips for easy reconfiguration or pedal additions if so desired. The board includes the following pedals (the number and > indicating the routing order): 1. DOD Gunslinger - a MOSFET high gain distortion, nice and shrill, baby! > 2. Dead Beat Thank You Distortion/Sustainer - an underrated fuzz, it's an obvious big muff variant but a tad smaller so much classier. Lots of folks have a muff but not everybody says thank you. Includes 9v power supply and cable. > 3. DOD 201 Phasor - a nice, two-stage Phasor. In the right hands, it will do a fair approximation of the EVH tone > 4. TC Electronics HOF Mini Reverb - classic reverb with tone prints > 5. TC Electronics Votrex Mini Flanger - nice flange, gets those Joe Walsh, Thin Lizzy type grooves. Also with tone prints. All pedals come with the original boxes and include candy. DOD pedals are listed as no longer in production and the company itself has seemingly been dissolved, (once a proud part of Utah based DOD/DigiTech, I read they were gobbled up by a global corporate entity {cough, Harmon! cough} then domestic US production was ceased and they unceremoniously dumped the whole crew. [buy Spiral Effects!] But don't trust me, I'm just a mouthy jerk selling stuff online, do your own research. ~~Whew!) thus, they are not making any more. DEADBEAT pedals is no longer a company at all so, kind of the same deal, no more = well, um. No more. The board was put together for a project which is no longer underway and therefore must be transferred forthwith as that is the way. They hail from a smoke free home and a long line of hard rocking pedals yet have never been toured with or, yay verily, been "stomped" upon. They have been treated fairly and gently well within the accords of the Jack Black/Jack White endorsed Geneva Illinois Convention's Code of Conduct for Rock ( or the GICCCR - we're one 'C' better!). Ideally, you like the board as is, nicely wired for power and routed in a fairly standard pedal board manner and would like it shipped as is. Or the whole thing will be broken down, repackaged and sent in one big cold heartless box with my tears enclosed. Your call.
