    Description

    This Cook's Hammer Service Lead, Brass, Copper, Bronze Hammer Mold Number 4 is Used and in Excellent Condition.  It comes complete with the locking clamp.  There are no cracks or broken pieces.  It has some surface rust as we have not cleaned or restored this tool in any manner.  We leave those decisions up to the eventual buyer.
    This mold has a built-in ladle that holds the exact amount of molten lead needed to form the hammer head. A C-clamp and thumb screw hold the mold together until the metal has set. There is a hole on the side where the clamp is located to insert the handle.
    Lead hammer metal is 95% lead and 5% antimony and comes in a 4 3/4-lb. bar. Pouring temperature range is 650° to 700° F. Melting point is slightly lower.  The lead is not included with this mold.
