    Description

    This is an exquisite piece with stunning intricate ink and colors on silk--a beautiful reproduction of the Ming Dynasty original by Chou Ch'en that we have owned since 1995. Painting is signed and have several Chinese markings, please see the photos. We believe our painting is over 75 years old with the minor stains over the decades age appropriate.
    The ' After the Line
    "Idly Watching Children Catch Willow Flowers"
    ' original was painted by Chou Ch'en  (ca. 1460-after 1535) in the Ming Dynasty. It features a scholar watching children playing in the breeze under a willow tree trying to catch the falling flowers.  Frame measurements:  23 3/4" long by 16" wide by 3/4" deep.
