Date of 1974, original, size 21 ½ x 29 1/2, very good lithographic color printing, published by the Combat Group of the Central Arts Institute. This poster based on an artwork painting by the Chinese artist Wang Yisheng (1929 – 2008).This is a late Chinese Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution (CGPCR, 1966 - 1976) poster.
The topic of this poster based on the political campaign called Criticize Lin and Criticize Confucius campaign (1974 – 1976). This campaign produced detailed Moist interpretations of Chinese history, and used as a tool by the Gang of Four to attack their enemies. In addition, Lin is Lin Biao (1907 – 1971), who was a Marshal of the PR China and died by the 1971 Incident as a revolt and treason what was announced by Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Confucius (551 BC – 479 BC) was an ancient Chinese philosopher and politician, the goal to criticize Confucius was to attack another senior Chinese leader Premier Zhou Enlai (1898 – 1976). This is all considered an internal political struggle and conflicts of the CCP in the late period of CGPCR and also considered of the last political campaign of Chinese GPCR.
The poster titled My Head Is Given Good, which means I Am A Genius. The poster pointed out as this was Lin Biao's self-statement as his bold view of genius, what was against the view of mass, a historic theory advocated by Mao Zedong (Chairman Mao, 1893 - 1976).
The satire figures of Confucius and Lin Biao, with his head inside full of the Confucius books Analects and I-Ching as he is a genius, and a snake as the demon.
