, 1966. The poster titled A Generational Genius (Yi Dai Tian Jiao), which a word from the poem written by Chairman Mao in 1936.
The subtitle calligraphy of Chairman Mao shows another poem by Mao which written by him in 1961 to his wife Li Jin (namesake Jiangqing, 1914 – 1991). This poem can be translated in English context as for the problem of Comrade Li Jin captured Mount Lu fairy cave as spreading shades of dusk, chaos cloud still calmly. Nature has excelled herself in the fairy cave, on perilous peaks dwells beauty in her infinite variety.
The woodcut Mao head copied from an original photograph made by an American journalist Edgar Snow (1905 – 1972) when he met Mao in 1936.
