  • Condition: What I have to offer for your viewing pleasure here is this beautiful antique Chinese painting on silk! Likely from the early 20th century this wonderful painting on silk depicts a woman / lady sitting in the foreground in a vividly colored dress in bright blue green, yellowish green, mauve and black with a bird perched on her hand, a lantern to her right and a bridge, mountains and a pagoda in the background. It is just gorgeous! It is signed lower right "G Lady R or H". It is in superb overall condition for its age with an area of spotting / foxing to the lower right hand corner, there are no tears to the silk that have seen, the frame is freshly painted as the paint was in rough shape and the painting needs new matting. It stands 27-1/2" tall by 24-3/8" wide and the frame is 1-1/2" deep.
