    Two Original BATIK Art Pieces featuring Warrior Horses (circa 1950s, Taiwan Republic Of China)
    Summary:
    This lot feature two original Batik traditional Chinese folk art pieces. Batik is a traditional Chinese folk art which combines hand-drawn painting and dyeing.  They are made by dipping specially designed knives and brushes into melted beeswax and parafin, and painting these waxes on a stretched
    closely woven cotton cloth canvas.  It is ironed flat and the resultant painting truly becomes a
    contemporary interpretation and expression of ancient Chinese folk art.
    The reverse side of one art piece (see photo) includes information. These pieces are handmade in Taiwan -Republic of China. This is a numbered piece - No. 036 and it titled Stone.
    The metal frames measure approximately 18" x 22". The art measures approximately 11" x 14".
