Description
4 Ling-Fu Yang Four Seasons Landscape Matted Framed Lithographs 8" x 14.5" FramePre-Owned and good condition. The paintings are still in original frame and mat under glass with hanging wire. The frames have minimal signs of use and storage. The paper covering that back of the frames is slightly torn. From what i have gathered, these were from the 1940's. Please see photos for visual description.
*****The following biography is taken from the archives of AskART***** Born near Shanghai, China on Dec. 16, 1889. Yang studied at the Peking Museum. The royal family commissioned her to paint portraits of past emperors of the Ching Dynasty. During the 1930s she lived in Berlin where she gave art lessons to Adolf Hitler. The threat of WWII brought her to California in 1938. After designing sets for the film “The Good Earth,” she taught painting at Stanford University and Chinese
